Summary of scientific research
As shown in the list of main publications, my academic activities have been devoted to the following fields and issues: a) The structure and functioning of labour markets; b) Argentine economic history; c) Social public expenditure; d) High inflation and stabilization programmes; e) Economic development; f) Education; g) Fiscal and state reform. Underlying these apparently very different concerns is the development of an institutional economics approach, i.e. the study of the cultural and social matrix that encompasses the behaviour of 'economic agents'.
